If you’re thinking that a big wedding is too much money or trouble, the Boothbay area is a very romantic place to elope. A Maine Wedding offers several packages, one of which is sure to suit your needs and budget.

Maine Getaway

• A romantic water view room at Topside Inn, Greenleaf Inn, The Thistle Inn, or Five Gables Inn (summer only).

• Choice of garden or oceanfront ceremony site (Roaring fireplace or covered porch for inclement weather!)

• Notary Public Officiant

• Witnesses

• Keepsake copy of your ceremony

• Marriage certificate (suitable for framing only)

• Red or white rose for the bride, & boutonniere for the groom

• A professional photographer (she will spend an hour photographing the ceremony, then will get some nice photos of you afterwards- then she’ll develop the film, and give you the prints and the negatives)

• A nice bottle of champagne or sparkling cider

• A $100 certificate to be used at any restaurant in town

• A delicious breakfast the next morning

PRICE – $1950

Romantic Weekdays Wedding

• A beautiful bouquet for the bride with matching boutonniere for the groom (you choose the colors, and we’ll pick the flowers- we like to use our local wildflowers)

• A professional photographer (she will spend an hour photographing the ceremony, then will get some nice photos of you afterwards- then she’ll develop the film, and give you the prints and the negatives in a few days)

• A wedding cake

- Chocolate, white, or lemon cake
- Chocolate, raspberry, or lemon filling
- Chocolate, buttercream, or vanilla frosting

• A bottle of Vueve Cliquot or similar champagne

• A $100 certificate to be used at any restaurant in town

• A delicious breakfast both mornings

Coastal Lighthouse Wedding

• Two nights accommodations at the very romantic Bradley Inn in New Harbor

• Ceremony at the very picturesque Pemaquid Point Lighthouse

• Marriage certificate (suitable for framing only)

• A beautiful bouquet for the bride with matching boutonniere for the groom (you choose the colors, and we’ll pick the flowers- we like to use our local wildflowers)

(MAY-OCTOBER ONLY)

• Two nights in an Oceanfront Suite at Spruce Point Inn or Newagen Seaside Inn (ocean view, fireplace) Hair & Make up in your room

• Notary Public Officiant

• Witnesses

• Keepsake copy of your ceremony

• Marriage certificate (suitable for framing only)• A lush floral bouquet for the bride, with matching boutonniere for the groom

• A professional photographer (she will spend an hour photographing the ceremony, then will get some nice photos of you afterwards- then she’ll develop the film, and give you the prints and the negatives)

• A bottle of Dom Perignon or similar for your room

• A wedding cake

- Chocolate, white, or lemon cake
- Chocolate, raspberry, or lemon filling
- Chocolate, buttercream, or vanilla frosting

• $100 gift certifiacte to be used at any restaurant in town

• A delicious breakfast each morning

• Choice of two

- Antique car ride to and from chapel
- Classical harpist at chapel
- Dove release outside chapel
- One hour private harbor cruise
- Two massages before or after wedding in room
- Videography of the ceremony

PRICE – $4450

OBTAINING A MARRIAGE LICENSE

There is no waiting period in Maine; the bride and groom apply for the license at the Town Clerk’s office in either Boothbay or Boothbay Harbor, unless you’re a Maine resident, in which case you need to go to your local Town Office for the license. Photo ID or birth certificate is needed, as well as certified divorce decrees if applicable.  There is a $30 fee- blood tests are NOT required.

There will be a $200 service charge for parties of five to seven people and $300 for parties of 8-10. Parties larger than 10 people do not qualify for these elopment packages.
